Therapy & Psychiatry for Women in Port Townsend & across WA
Personalized care that honors your body, your hormones, and your stage of life. Convenient online treatment.
Sometimes, it feels like you’re disappearing in your own life.
So much of what women go through is minimized or misunderstood. Hormonal shifts, identity changes, past trauma—all of it can deeply affect your mental health and disrupt your life. When you bring it up, the answers or suggestions seem somewhat vague—they point to stress, aging, or an “easy solve” with diet and exercise. But inside, you know it has to be something else.
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I focus on helping women understand the real, biological, and emotional reasons behind what they’re experiencing. This could be anything from depression, anxiety, or ADHD to trauma or perimenopausal symptoms. No matter how confusing and frustrating what’s happening currently feels, together, we’ll connect the dots so you can feel like yourself again.
Maybe you’re a woman who…
Is a new or expecting parent dealing with anxiety, depression, or past trauma
Has been told she has ADHD—but symptoms change wildly with your cycle
Is in the thick of perimenopause and noticing cognitive or emotional shifts
Feels snappy, overstimulated, and exhausted from trying to meet everyone’s needs
Finds herself losing things, missing appointments, or walking into rooms and forgetting why
Wants support for her mood and mental health without losing your breastfeeding goals
Feels like her personality has changed and wants to understand why
Is grieving her sex drive, sharp memory, or her old self—and wondering what’s next
How i can help
This isn’t about checking boxes—it’s about you.
When we begin, we’ll take a careful look at everything that’s at play: how your mood and energy fluctuate throughout your cycle, how sleep or hot flashes might be undermining your focus, or how life transitions—like pregnancy, perimenopause, or grief over pregnancy loss or infertility—are weighing on you. We'll also include lab work or coordinate with your gynecologist or OB when needed to get the full picture.
From there, we’ll explore treatment options that respect and make the most sense for where you are right now. That might include medication (safe for breastfeeding, for example), targeted therapy strategies for anxiety or perimenopausal mood changes, and practical tools for real life—like managing stress when your teens are in crisis or re-entering intimacy after a baby.
You don’t have to shrink your experience to fit someone else’s timeline. This is a place for all women: the ones who want to stay present with their toddler, regain balance as menopause approaches, or reclaim desire in their partnership. I’ll be the provider who sees the whole you. We’ll work together to reconnect your body, your brain, and your sense of self. So you can do more than just get by…you can come back to yourself.
YOUR UNIQUE CARE
-
I focus on understanding the full picture of your symptoms, history, and life context so we can uncover what’s really going on—whether it’s ADHD, hormone shifts, anxiety, or something else.
-
If medication is right for you, we’ll choose the lowest effective dose, minimize side effects, and make sure it fits your life, including pregnancy, breastfeeding, or other health priorities.
-
If you’re experiencing postpartum anxiety, cyclical-mood changes, or identity shifts in midlife, we’ll focus on strategies that work in real life with tools you can actually use day to day.
-
Nothing about this experience is one-size-fits-all, nor should it be. We’ll connect the dots between your brain, body, hormones, and history so you can feel like yourself again, with support that fits where you are now.
The right kind of treatment & care can make all the difference.

Some women come in with a clear diagnosis and others just know something feels “off.” I’m here for it all. Common concerns include mood swings, brain fog, difficult emotions, anxiety, exhaustion, disconnection from partners or children, low libido, and a feeling of not recognizing yourself anymore.
-
Absolutely. You don’t need to commit to any type of specific treatment path to begin care. Many of my clients are still exploring their options, and my role is to help you understand what’s available so you can make informed, empowered choices.

No, while I often support women navigating transitions like early motherhood, perimenopause, or midlife shifts, I work with women across the lifespan. If something isn’t feeling right—mentally, emotionally, or physically—you don’t need to wait for a milestone to get support.
-
Yes. I frequently support women through the challenges of pregnancy and the postpartum period—including those who are breastfeeding. Yes, they can. Hormonal changes during this time often impact mood, focus, sleep, and emotional regulation. If you’re feeling off, anxious, or unlike yourself, it’s not just in your head. We’ll look at what’s shifting and find ways to support both your body and mind.
