Psychiatric Medication Management in Port Townsend & across WA
You’ve done a lot on your own. Now let’s figure out what else could help.
In the right hands and with the right support, medication can be a powerful catalyst for change.
You’ve tried therapy, lifestyle changes, maybe even a few medications before—and you still don’t feel like yourself. And if you’re here, chances are you’ve been trying really hard for a long time.
You’ve pushed through foggy thinking, unpredictable mood swings, or waves of anxiety that seem to come out of nowhere. You’ve lost motivation, struggled to follow through, or felt your emotions take over in ways that feel out of character. Now, you’re left wondering if it’s time to revisit the idea of medication (for the first time or after a break), but you want to make sure you’re doing it with someone who sees the full picture.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Medication management might be a good fit if you…
Are ready to explore whether medication could be helpful, but you want to understand all your options first.
Tried meds in the past, but they didn’t help—or made things worse.
Have side effects but don’t want to stop taking something that’s otherwise helping.
Want a provider who takes time to explain why a medication might help, what it won’t fix, and how to make it work better alongside other treatments.
Are managing anxiety, depression, ADHD, or bipolar disorder and need more specialized support than your primary care provider offers.
Feel ready to taper off medication and want to do it safely, with the support of someone who won’t rush you.
MY PHILOSOPHY
Medication is never my first or only answer.
I believe good psychiatric care starts with respect for your body, your story, and your goals. Medication is one tool among many, and I use it thoughtfully, when it's truly needed, and never without a full understanding of what it means for you. I take time to explain how medications work, what they can help with, and what they won’t fix—so you can make informed decisions.
I prioritize looking at the full picture: your mood, focus, relationships, hormones, sleep, past trauma, and more. I’m here to help you feel empowered—not over-medicated or brushed aside. If you’re exploring options for the first time, managing bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, the effects of trauma, or deciding if it’s time to taper off, I’ll walk with you through the process with clarity, care, and collaboration.
What to expect
-
We start with a 15-minute phone call to talk through your goals and make sure we’re a good fit. The process of creating a tailored treatment plan will begin in this session.
-
Before your first full appointment, you’ll complete detailed intake forms specific to the needs you shared in your consultation. I review them thoroughly in advance so our session can focus on what matters: your story, your questions, and your goals.
-
We’ll talk through your history, current symptoms, and treatment preferences. The goal is to walk away with a clear sense of next steps, a possible diagnosis if appropriate, and at least one tool or idea you can use immediately.
-
Together, we’ll create a plan that fits your life. That might include medications, labs, therapy, lifestyle shifts, or a combination. I’ll explain everything and answer each question.
-
We’ll meet for follow-up appointments (25 or 50 minutes) to check progress, adjust as needed, and ensure you feel supported at every step. I also coordinate with your other providers when helpful.
WHAT YOU CAN GAIN
A clear understanding of what each medication does—and doesn’t do
Confidence you’re not over- or under-medicated
A say in your treatment, always
Relief from symptoms so you can get back to the things you love
A plan that evolves as your life does
Strategies that support your meds (instead of relying on them alone)
A provider who listens and explains—not just prescribes
Respect, curiosity, and care for what you’re experiencing

The right medication doesn’t change who you are. It can help you feel more like yourself.
